DELIA BAILLIE

BRIEF BIOGRAPHY

Delia is originally from Glasgow but is now based in Dundee.  She received a Dawson International Art Bursary in 1995, a John Kinross Scholarship in 1999 and the Alastair Salvesen Travelling Scolarship in 2003. She won the Dundee Visual Arts Award in both 2002 and 2004.

Her solo exhibitions have been in Scottish venues and the bulk of her group exhibitions have also been restricted to Scottish cities.

She says that her work and imagery are influenced by evolution, whether in plants or in planets.  As far as the Aspect Prize is concerned, she said “It could not have come at a better time and it is a great opportunity to get my work exhibited in London”
