KATIE POPE

BRIEF BIOGRAPHY

Katie Pope lives and works in Glasgow.  She graduated from Edinburgh College of Art in 2006.  She has exhibited throughout Scotland and has been the recipient of a number of awards including the RSA John Kinross Scholarship to Florence in 2006.  She says “My work is rooted in the bittersweet everyday human experience.  I am moved to make work representing the ordinary places, moments and events which, I believe, capture both the melancholy and the celebratory that I see in life."
